JinMenu

Description

The Jin Menu adds onclick event in wordpress custom link menu item , so that you can use your javascript/jQuery code from wordpress menu.

  • Goto: Appearance > Menus

  • Select Menu

  • Add Menu Item of type Custom Links. Add Link Text , Leave URL Blank or Use #

  • Assign display location from menu settings

  • Save your menu

  • Goto: Appearance > Jin Menus

  • Select Your Menu on top

  • Select Menu Item

  • Add your javascript code in Javascript box

Installation

If you have ever installed a WordPress plugin, then installation will be pretty easy:

  1. Download the JinMenu plugin archive and extract the files

  2. Copy the resulting jinMenu directory into /wp-content/plugins/

  3. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu of WordPress

What the plugin provides is not very complicated. It adds fields to menu items, where you can simply copy-paste your code. But before that, you need to know what you're doing in terms of working with Javascript/jQuery. So, before you use the plugin, make sure you know how to set up such a Javascript event. Otherwise, you won't know what to do with this tool.

It only works if you have checked the check that it is "Primary Navigation". If your web has multiple menus it does not work in others menus.
