Replikit also duplicates media: when you duplicate an image or file in the Media Library, Replikit copies the actual file on disk to a new, uniquely-named file and creates a completely independent attachment record for it \u2014 including regenerated thumbnail sizes. The duplicate uses the same featured image reference as the original (both posts point to the same media attachment), which is the expected behavior for most use cases. If you want an independent copy of the image file itself, duplicate that image directly from the Media Library.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"why%20are%20duplicates%20created%20as%20drafts%3F\"><h3>Why are duplicates created as Drafts?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>To prevent a duplicated page or post from accidentally appearing live with identical content to the original. You can change this in <strong>Settings \u2192 Replikit<\/strong> if you'd prefer duplicates to match the original's status.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"does%20this%20work%20with%20advanced%20custom%20fields%20%28acf%29%3F\"><h3>Does this work with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Yes. ACF stores its field data as regular post meta, and Replikit's \"Copy all post meta\" setting (on by default) copies it along with everything else.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"does%20this%20work%20with%20elementor%2C%20beaver%20builder%2C%20divi%2C%20or%20other%20page%20builders%3F\"><h3>Does this work with Elementor, Beaver Builder, Divi, or other page builders?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Yes. Elementor, Beaver Builder, Bricks, and Oxygen all store the entire page layout as post meta, which Replikit copies as part of \"Copy all post meta\" (on by default) \u2014 this must stay enabled for duplicated page-builder content to appear correctly. Divi and WPBakery store their layout directly in the post content using shortcodes, which Replikit always copies regardless of that setting.<\/p>\n\n<p>Elementor may briefly regenerate its cached CSS the first time you open the duplicate \u2014 this is expected (Replikit intentionally does not copy Elementor's per-post CSS cache, since it is tied to the original post's ID) and is not a sign anything went wrong.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"will%20duplicating%20media%20work%20on%20any%20host%3F\"><h3>Will duplicating media work on any host?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Media duplication requires the WordPress Filesystem API to have direct write access to your uploads directory, which is the case on the large majority of hosts. If your host requires FTP credentials for file operations, media duplication may not be available; post and page duplication are unaffected either way.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"is%20there%20a%20premium%20version%3F\"><h3>Is there a premium version?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>No. Everything described here is included, with no restrictions or upsells.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"can%20i%20disable%20duplication%20for%20specific%20post%20types%3F\"><h3>Can I disable duplication for specific post types?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Yes. Go to <strong>Settings \u2192 Replikit<\/strong> and uncheck any post type (or the Media Library) you don't want the Duplicate action to appear for.
