Dave Gerrits AI Content Generator

Description

Dave Gerrits AI Content Generator is a Dutch AI content generator and blog generator for WordPress, specifically developed for Dutch-language websites and Dutch-speaking users.

Create Dutch blog title ideas and complete Dutch blog articles directly from your WordPress dashboard. The plugin interface is in Dutch and all generated content is written in Dutch.

You stay in control: content generation is started manually and you decide what to do with the generated content. The plugin works as a standalone free WordPress plugin and does not require a paid Dave Gerrits license. To generate content, you use your own OpenAI API key.

Blog Title Generator

Enter a topic and let the plugin generate 10 Dutch-language blog title ideas.

You can select one of the generated titles and send it directly to the Blog Generator. The selected title is automatically filled into the blog title field, so you do not have to copy and paste it manually.

The article itself is not generated automatically. You remain in control and manually start article generation from the Blog Generator.

Blog Generator

You can enter your own blog title directly in the Blog Generator. Using the Blog Title Generator is optional. If you select a generated title there, it is automatically filled into the Blog Generator.

Enter a blog title, optionally provide additional instructions and choose a target article length of approximately 700, 1000 or 1500 words. You can also save one optional writing style in the Blog Generator. This saved style is automatically applied to future generated articles until you change or remove it.

The plugin then generates a Dutch-language article with a clear HTML structure:

  • Exactly one H1 heading
  • Logical H2 headings
  • H3 headings where appropriate
  • Clearly structured paragraphs
  • A readable article structure

The generated article is displayed as a formatted preview. With the copy button, you can copy the article and then paste it manually into the WordPress editor.

After article generation, the plugin also automatically prepares SEO data that you can use with your article. The meta description is limited to a maximum of 140 characters.

This free plugin does not automatically schedule, generate or publish articles. You start every generation request manually and decide what to do with the generated content.

Always review AI-generated content for accuracy before publishing.

Optional AI Featured Image

In version 1.2.0, the Blog Generator can optionally generate one matching AI featured image together with the article.

Image generation remains fully manual. Enable the “AI featured image” option before generating the article and choose one of two image styles:

  • Editorial illustration – recommended for blogs, news and content websites
  • Photorealistic – realistic photo-style imagery

The free plugin uses GPT Image 2 with the budget quality setting and a fixed 1536×1024 landscape format.

After the article is generated, the AI image request starts automatically when the image option is enabled. Image generation can take noticeably longer than text generation, so the plugin displays a clear waiting message while GPT Image 2 is working.

The generated image is shown next to the article as a preview. It is not automatically attached to a WordPress post. You decide whether to save it to the WordPress Media Library.

When you save the image, the plugin automatically uses the blog title for the image filename, media title and alt text. The blog title is never rendered as visible text inside the generated image.

AI image generation uses your own OpenAI API key and may result in additional OpenAI API charges.

Use your own OpenAI API key

Dave Gerrits AI Content Generator uses your own OpenAI API key.

In the settings, you can configure your API key and the AI model you want to use. A built-in connection test lets you verify that the connection to OpenAI is working.

Use of the OpenAI API may result in charges from OpenAI according to the terms and pricing of your own OpenAI account.

External services

This plugin connects to the OpenAI API to generate Dutch-language blog articles, blog title ideas and, when manually enabled, AI featured images.

When you manually start a generation request, the plugin sends the information required for that request to OpenAI. This may include the blog title, topic, additional instructions, your saved writing style and requested article length. When AI image generation is enabled, the blog title and relevant article content are also used to create the image prompt sent to OpenAI.

Data is sent to OpenAI only when you manually start a content or image generation request, or when you use the built-in OpenAI connection test.

The connection to OpenAI uses the API key that you enter in the plugin settings. AI requests are sent directly to OpenAI and are not routed through a Dave Gerrits server.

This external service is provided by OpenAI.
